To expedite the reimbursement of retirement benefits for former employees of WBSEDCL and WBSEB, a ‘Retired Person’s Help Desk’ was established at Vidyut Bhawan, 5th floor, Block-D, Bidhannagar, Kolkata-700091 on September 7, 2009. Detailed rules and regulations necessary for prompt complaint resolution will be available on the company’s website (www.wbsedcl.come.in) within one month. Retired employees or family members of deceased employees can contact the aforementioned office to inquire about expedited settlement of retirement benefits.

THE MODUS OPERANDI OF THE “RETIRED PERSONS’ HELP DESK”
An office order (No. 166 dated 07.09.09) from the Director (H.R.) has established a committee named “Retired Persons’ Help Desk.” The committee members are appointed to assist retired individuals with grievances concerning service matters during their employment with erstwhile WBSEB and WBSEDCL / WBSETCL.

The relevant Section/Department will typically manage the settlement of terminal benefits and any outstanding arrear payments according to the company’s existing rules. The Committee members will periodically review unresolved cases and assess new grievances after obtaining status reports from the relevant offices. Upon evaluating each grievance, the committee will take necessary steps towards resolution. However, the Committee will not entertain grievances or demands related to company policy matters, issues pending in court, or ongoing departmental proceedings.
